Celebrating 10 years of REM on April 12

The Renewable Energy Engineering and Management (REM) alumni network invites you to the keynote speech: The Evolution of Energy Transition: Global Energy Trends and Challenges which will take place Friday, April 12 th at 19:00 at HS 1098 of Kollegiengebäude I, University of Freiburg.

The keynote speakers are Prof. Dr. Mario Ragwitz, Deputy of the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) and Dr. Felix Matthes, Research Coordinator for Energy & Climate policy of the Öko-Institut. These experts will touch upon topics such as renewable energy going mainstream, the energy transition and the changes it has undergone as well as energy policy design and approaches for the phasing-out of conventional and unsustainable energy sources.

This speech is part of the REM program’s anniversary event, Celebrating 10 Years of REM: Educating for a Sustainable Energy Transition Worldwide . Join us in our mission to bridge the gap between the technical aspects of renewable energy technologies and the vision of sustainable development through education and effective debates.

This event is organized by REM alumni, students and faculty and is catered to anyone who is interested in learning about the current trends and challenges the energy industry is facing amidst the threat of climate change.
