Willkommen - Gastprofessor Peter Kanowski
Professor Peter Kanowski von der Australian National University wird vom 18. Juni bis 16. Juli an unserer Fakultät tätig sein.
Schwerpunktmäßig wird Professor Kanowski das MSc Modul „International Forest Governance“ gemeinsam mit Prof. Daniela Kleinschmit unterrichten. Prof. Kanowski, dessen Aufenthalt in Freiburg durch das Gastprofessoren-Programm der Universität unterstützt wird, wird wesentlich dazu beitragen, dieses neue Modul in der Profillinie „International Forestry“ zu etablieren. Professor Kanowski, der Master des University House an der Australian National University ist, lehrt dort auch Forstpolitik. Zudem ist er durch seine mehrjährige Tätigkeit als stellvertretender Leiter des Center of International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesien, und seine Koautorenschaft des Buches „Global Environmental Forest Policies“ hervorragend positioniert für seinen Beitrag zu unserem Curriculum. Sein Aufenthalt an der Fakultät dient auch der Anbahnung von neuen gemeinsamen internationalen Forschungsinitiativen.

Welcome to Visiting Professor Peter Kanowski
Professor Peter Kanowski from the Australian National University will be based at our faculty from June 18 to July 16. During this time Professor Kanowski will teach the MSc module "International Forest Governance" jointly with Prof. Daniela Kleinschmit. Prof. Kanowski whose stay in Freiburg is supported by the visiting professors program of our University, will contribute significantly to establish this new module of the MSc profile "International Forestry". Professor Kanowski is the Master of University House at the Australian National University and also teaches forestry policy there. Through his work as deputy head of the Center of International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesia, and his co-authorship of the book "Global Environmental Forest Policies" he is in an excellently positioned for his contribution to our curriculum. Another purpose of his stay at our Faculty is also the initiation of new joint international research activities.
