Veranstaltungsreihe „Science, Sustainability and Art“

Vom 29. Juni bis 12. Juli wird in Vorträgen, Workshops und einer Theateraufführung unter dem Thema “Science, Sustainability and Art – Exploring tools for transformation” die Verwendung von Kunst in der Nachhaltigkeitswissenschaft ergründet.
Die transdiszilpinären Veranstaltungen bringen NachhaltigkeitswissenschaftlerInnen und AktivistInnen, die Kunst in ihrer Arbeit verwenden und aus verschiendenen Ländern und Fachdisziplinen - Biologie, Soziologie, Pädagogik, Politikwissenschaft – kommen nach Freiburg.
Die Reihe findet im Sommer- und Wintersemester 2015 statt und läd Studierende, WissenschaftlerInnen, und interessierte BürgerInnen zum Austausch und Ausprobieren ein.
Das Programm wird vom Freiburg Scientific Theatre e.V. organisiert, welches sich aus dem internationalen Masterprogramm Environmental Governance entwickelt hat und Theater als Methode verwendet, um Nachhaltigkeitsthemen zu vemitteln und einen Dialog darüber anzustoßen. Teil der kommenden Sommer-Edition ist ein öffentlicher Auftritt ihres neuesten Stückes “Paradise Vetoed – Stories of Climate Change” am 2. Juli um 20Uhr im Theater Nouage Fou (Lutherkirchstr. 1).
Die Abendvorträge und Wochenendworkshops finden im Raum 400 der Fakultät für Umwelt und Natürliche Resourcen (Herderbau, Tennenbacher Str. 4) statt. Für die Workshops ist eine Anmeldung notwendig.

From 29 June – 12 July 2015, the provocative series of lectures, workshops and theatre performance "Science, Sustainability and Art – Exploring tools for transformation" will uncover the use of art in the field of sustainability science.
From biology to sociology, politics and research to pedagogy, this transdisciplinary series brings together sustainability scientists and practitioners from a wide breadth of disciplines and countries, who in some way or another use art as a tool for their research. The series will be held over the summer and winter semesters of 2015, and is open to students, researchers and members of the public from all academic domains.
The programme is organised by the Freiburg Scientific Theatre e.V., a group of alumni using theatre to portray and create discussions about sustainability.
The evening lectures and weekend workshops will be held in room 400 at the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources (Herderbau, Tennenbacher Str. 4). Workshops require prior registration.
