Students from Freiburg (Outgoings)

Any student, regardless of nationality, can apply for an Erasmus stay-abroad. Students who have already received an Erasmus grant during their Bachelor's degree can apply for another Erasmus grant during their Master's degree. A maximum of 12 months can be funded per study phase, including the Erasmus internship.

The following applies to Forestry and Environmental Sciences:

Please complete the online application form and upload a single PDF with the following documents:

  • CV
  • Letter of motivation (1 DIN A4 page)  with reference to your first priority
  • Transcript of records
  • Proof of language skills (if applicable, proof that language skills can be acquired by the start of the stay)

 Many places are advertised for 2 semesters. However, this does not mean that you only get the place if you apply for 2 semesters. As soon as we have more applicants than places for a partner faculty, we split the 2-semester places into two 1-semester places.

So please apply only for the period you consider realistic at the moment. An extension on site is almost always possible.

 There are no deadlines for remaining places. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. There is no selection procedure.

Language Skills / Language Certificate

Normally, a B2 level of proficiency is required. In some universities, B1 is also sufficient.

The required level of proficiency in a language does not have to be proven to us by 15 January. However, it should be evident that it could be achieved by the start of the stay abroad.

Proof of Proficiency in English:

  • A-level certificate (or other equivalent of German Abitur) if B2 knowledge is documented there. It doesn't matter whether you took your A-level one year ago or five years ago.
  • DAAD language placement test at the SLI (30€) at Uni Freiburg (English Seminar)
  • Other Tests (Oxford Online placement test, IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge)

Proof of Proficiency in Latin Languages (French, Spanish, Italian etc)

  • A-level certificate (or other equivalent of German Abitur) if B2 knowledge is documented there. It doesn't matter whether you took your A-level one year ago or five years ago.

  • OtherTests (Oxford Online placement test, IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge)

 

Recognition of Achievements 

 

BACHELOR Students

Typically, Erasmus modules are recognised in the elective area or as study projects. Please note that only courses with a grade can be recognized.

Please prepare (after your stay) this form (BSc) for the recognition of modules and contact, depending on the study programme:
