Many places are advertised for 2 semesters. However, this does not mean that you only get the place if you apply for 2 semesters. As soon as we have more applicants than places for a partner faculty, we split the 2-semester places into two 1-semester places.
So please apply only for the period you consider realistic at the moment. An extension on site is almost always possible.
Remaining Places
List of remaining places, update 12.03.2024
There are no deadlines for remaining places. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. There is no selection procedure.
To apply, please fill out this form and send it together with your CV and language proof to erasmus@unr.uni-freiburg.de.
Language Skills / Language Certificate
Normally, a B2 level of proficiency is required. In some universities, B1 is also sufficient.
The required level of proficiency in a language does not have to be proven to us by 15 January. However, it should be evident that it could be achieved by the start of the stay abroad.
Proof of Proficiency in English:
- A-level certificate (or other equivalent of German Abitur) if B2 knowledge is documented there. It doesn't matter whether you took your A-level one year ago or five years ago.
- DAAD language placement test at the SLI (30€) at Uni Freiburg (English Seminar)
- Other Tests (Oxford Online placement test, IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge)
Proof of Proficiency in Latin Languages (French, Spanish, Italian etc)
