Degree programme B. Sc. Forest Sciences with new examination regulations
B.Sc. Forest Sciences (start until winter semester 20/21)
The main focus of the Forest Sciences major is the management of (forest) ecosystems and forest landscapes, based on a scientific foundation. Natural, technical and sociological disciplines are also integrated into this field of study. The relationship between forests and humans is a topic that is extensively looked at, as well as conservation and sustainable use of forest landscapes all over the world. This often concerns complicated ecosystems that humans are dependent on for numerous reasons. Water, air, recreation, effects on the global climate, plants, animals, and of course wood and renewable resources are all important components of forest ecosystems.
The contents and results of forest ecosystem research can be used as a model for future use of natural resources. This is the foundation of responsible, environmentally conscious, and long-term thinking and acting in an economical, political and ecological way.
